The context of this picture is completely up for your own interpretation. I don’t know why Arietta’s so terrified here, but I do know why I drew her that way at least. I wanted to draw something with a lot of emotion in it as opposed to someone just standing there and smiling, and I also wanted to try drawing Arietta. And from what little I know of her thus far (this will be my first time playing the game), I can easily imagine her wearing that sort of expression, so I just drew it, and… I guess this was born? Perhaps she was just surprised at how late I got this particular piece in, or maybe someone’s about to use Indignation or something on her or… I dunno. Completely up to you guys~

Happy Tales of the Abyss Day! 

The Tales of the Abyss 3DS countdown is officially done! We’d like to thank everyone that participated, followed the blog, reblogged posts, liked stuff, bought the game, replayed the PS2 version, whatever! It was fun and exciting for us to run this countdown, because we love Tales of the Abyss and the Tales series, and we love seeing everyone’s artwork! We hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did.

Gah, forget Namco’s official ages for the Abyss’ cast.
Everyone is in their 20s, Van is in his mid-40s and is Tear’s father. That is my head cannon… er, canon.

Blah, blah, I can’t wait to play Abyss 3DS, blah, blah, Tear and Luke are acting all lovey dovey, and then I barf rainbows. The end.

The day has finally arrived! I really can’t put into words how much this game (and these two cuties) mean to me. It’s helped me through tough times, made me laugh, cry, and even want to throw things in anger. This game has a special place in my heart, and I hope that with this re-release it will allow more people to experience it, and maybe even bring new people into the fandom.

But enough about my feelings. Go out and enjoy this game!

It’s finally here! *throws confetti* Tales of the Abyss has officially completed its second sweep across the world~ and I sincerely hope it is able to enrapture a whole new host of fans with its amazing story and unforgettable cast of characters. I could spend hours telling you everything I love about the game but… I’ll be too busy playing it XD. An epic journey to everyone out there who’s picked up the game, and to those of you who haven’t, you should be!
